What is Blueface’s net worth?

With a net worth of $4 million, Blueface is an American rapper and songwriter. He gained fame as a viral internet meme in 2018 after releasing the music video “Respect My Crypn.” His 2019 single “Thotiana,” which features Cardi B and YG, has become his most successful track to date, reaching #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Blueface’s encounters with the law are numerous. Following an attempt to rob him at a gas station in late 2018, he fired shots at the assailant’s car, leading to his arrest on a felony charge for shooting at an occupied vehicle. He was soon released on bail. In early 2019, he faced arrest again for felony gun possession.

In October 2022, Blueface was apprehended on charges related to attempted murder and shooting incidents in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was subsequently incarcerated at the Clark County Detention Center. Eventually, he entered a plea deal, agreeing to a three-year probation sentence. Any trouble during this period would automatically result in a 2-5 year prison term.

This shooting incident took place at Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas. Following the event, the club’s owner pursued legal action against Blueface for substantial revenue losses after being forced to shut down the establishment due to the incident. On October 23, 2023, the court ruled in favor of the owner, awarding him a judgment of $13 million. Blueface was specifically ordered to pay $13,072,482, which was divided into $12.6 million in lost revenue, $200,000 for “lease damages,” and $84,000 for employee expenses. He did not challenge the ruling in court and failed to hire an attorney. By January 2024, without making any payments, his total debt had escalated to $14 million, including interest and penalties.

In mid-January 2024, Blueface was arrested once more for breaching his probation related to a 2021 assault incident in the San Fernando Valley.

Early Life

Born Jonathan Michael Porter on January 20, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, Blueface initially lived in the Santa Clarita Valley with his mother before relocating to Oakland to stay with his father. Upon returning to the Los Angeles area, Porter attended Arleta High School, where he participated in the marching band and served as the school’s football team’s starting quarterback, leading his team to an East Valley League championship in 2014. Ultimately, he progressed to play football at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina but left the institution in 2016.

Viral Breakthroughs

In January 2017, Blueface began his rap career under the moniker “Blueface Bleedem,” a name rooted in his association with the School Yard Crips street gang. Legend has it that he was discovered while visiting a friend’s recording session to grab a phone charger, where he was dared to a rap battle. This led to the creation of “Deadlocs,” a song uploaded to SoundCloud that earned him a modest following.

Success

By June 2018, Porter had shortened his stage name to “Blueface” and launched a full-length album titled “Famous Cryp.” The album garnered considerable attention in Southern California, partially fueled by the newly released version of “Dead Locs,” which also included the original rendition of his track “Thotiana.”

That same year, Blueface achieved viral fame with the music video for “Respect My Cryppin’,” showcasing his unique rapping style and ties to the Crips street gang. As a result, more of his tracks gained traction, including “Next”…

Known for hits like “Big Thing” and “Thotiana,” Blueface gained significant recognition after hosting a contest on Instagram to find out which high school in the Los Angeles region he should visit, with Pasadena High School ultimately winning. At the end of 2018, he went viral once again when he showcased a preview of his new song, “Bleed It,” online.

In 2018, Blueface signed with Cash Money West, the West Coast division of rapper Birdman’s Cash Money Records label.

Throughout 2019, Blueface’s fame continued to grow. He marked the beginning of the year by achieving his first Billboard Hot 100 song with “Thotiana.” The song later reached number eight on the chart after being remixed with contributions from Cardi B and YG. Also during 2019, he launched the music video for his single “Stop Cappin,” which garnered over five million views within just four days of being uploaded to YouTube. Later, he released his eight-track EP titled “Dirt Bag,” featuring collaborations with artists such as Rich the Kid, Lil Pump, and Offset, among others.

March 2020 saw the release of Blueface’s debut studio album, “Find the Beat,” which includes collaborations with artists like Polo G, Gunna, Jeremih, DaBaby, and YBN Nahmir. The album features singles such as “Close Up,” “First Class,” “Obama,” and “Holy Moly.” “Find the Beat” reached number 64 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 39 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Blueface has been featured on several tracks over the years. In 2019, he collaborated on French Montana’s “Slide,” the remix of NLE Choppa’s “Shotta Flow,” and Farid Bang’s “FULU$.” The following year, he made guest appearances on the remixes of DDG’s “Moonwalking in Calabasas” and 1TakeJay’s “Proud of U.”

Boxing Career

Aside from his music career, Blueface has taken steps into amateur boxing. His boxing debut took place in the summer of 2021 against TikTok personality Kane Trujillo, as part of the undercard for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 19: VanZant vs. Ostovich. Blueface won the match by unanimous decision. However, after being pulled from two exhibition matches in 2022 due to accusations of domestic abuse against his girlfriend, he was slated to fight TikTok star Ed Mathews in London in 2023.

Personal Life

Blueface shares a son named Javaughn and a daughter named Journey with his former girlfriend, social media influencer Jaidyn Alexis. He has his son’s name inked on his right arm. In 2020, following her discovery of his infidelity, Alexis vandalized Blueface’s car and property. Later, his new girlfriend, Chrisean Rock, stole his car.

Real Estate

In January 2020, Blueface purchased a home in Chatsworth, California for $1.22 million. During his time of ownership, he opted to paint the exterior in a blue and white camouflage pattern. He sold this house in August 2023 for $1.353 million. Prior to his acquisition, the former owners had themed the home as a “Star Wars Getaway.” A video tour reflecting the home’s earlier Star Wars decor can be viewed below:
