What is Beetlejuice’s Net Worth?

With a net worth of $200 thousand, Beetlejuice is an American comedian and actor, primarily recognized for his regular appearances on The Howard Stern Show. A member of Stern’s “Wack Pack,” he made his debut on the Stern Show in July 1999 alongside another dwarf who was promoting a dwarf tossing business. Howard Stern quickly identified Beetlejuice’s distinctive charm and referred to him as a “once in a lifetime guest.” Over the years, he has been featured multiple times on the program, garnering both praise and critique for his contributions. While some audience members find him hilarious, others argue that he is being exploited by the show.

Early Life & Condition

Born Lester Green on June 2, 1968, in Brown Mills, New Jersey, Beetlejuice is the second youngest among six siblings and grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was born with dwarfism and also suffers from a condition known as microcephaly.

This birth defect, microcephaly, is characterized by a dramatically smaller head size compared to what’s expected for a baby’s age and sex, often indicating improper brain development. Its origins can be attributed to various factors such as genetic disorders, infections during pregnancy (like Zika virus), prenatal exposure to alcohol or drugs, and chromosomal anomalies. The impact of microcephaly varies; some children may face no developmental challenges, while others might experience:

  • Intellectual disability: Ranging from mild to severe, this can hinder learning, memory, and problem-solving skills.
  • Developmental delays: These may pertain to missing key milestones such as speaking, sitting, or walking.

Height

Standing at 4 feet 2 inches tall, Beetlejuice has a distinct stature.

Howard Stern Show

In the 1990s, Beetlejuice was approached by promoter/manager Sean Rooney to be part of a dwarf tossing venture. On July 14, 1999, Rooney arranged for Beetlejuice and another performer from his team to be guests on the Howard Stern Show. Recognizing Beetlejuice’s unique appeal, Howard invited him back for multiple appearances. In January 2000, when Howard was due to receive an honorary award at the 17th AVN Awards in Las Vegas, he sent Beetlejuice to accept it on his behalf, resulting in a famously rambling acceptance speech that required him to be escorted off the stage.

Between 2000 and 2016, Beetlejuice was a regular presence on the Stern show, though he was absent for a five-year period from 2016 until February 2021.

Other Media Appearances

Leveraging his fame from Howard Stern, Beetlejuice has appeared in various mainstream films and television shows. In 2001, he was featured in the films “Scary Movie 2” and “Bubble Boy,” and made an appearance on the Howard Stern-produced TV series “Son of the Beach.” The following year, he was seen in the music video for rapper N.O.R.E’s song “Grimey.”

Beetlejuice has engaged in several amateur boxing bouts and starred in a five-episode reality show titled “This Is Beetle,” which was broadcast on Howard TV. Although he was slated for a cameo in the 2009 film “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” he lost the role when director Michael Bay became frustrated with his performance.
